Online Shopping Takes up 20% of S. Korea's Retail Sales

State data shows that online shopping accounts for 20 percent of South Korea’s domestic retail sales.
 
According to Statistics Korea on Friday, the country’s retail sales totaled 96 trillion won in the first quarter, with online shopping taking up 20 percent or 18-point-two trillion won of the total.
 
Mobile shopping is increasing particularly quickly among young people with the development of a mobile payment system, taking up 59 percent of total online shopping transactions in March.
