The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) yet again hit a new high on Wednesday, breaking the previous high posted just the day before.
 
KOSPI gained three-point-90 points, or point-16 percent, to close the day at two-thousand-429-point-94. KOSPI has been hitting new highs for the past five consecutive days.

Meanwhile, the tech-heavy KOSDAQ also climbed, adding seven-point-51 points or one-point-13 percent. It closed the day at 671-point-53.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened two-point-five won against the dollar, closing at one-thousand-120-point-six won.
