Police Raid Korean Air HQ on Corruption Suspicions

Police on Friday raided the headquarters of Korean Air in Seoul on suspicions that misappropriation took place in the construction of the chairman of the flag carrier's residence.
 
The National Police Agency’s special investigation team said that through the raid, it secured materials on the construction of Korean Air Chairman and CEO Cho Yang-ho’s residence, including tax data and contracts.
 
Police suspect that leading airline misappropriated a significant amount of the construction fees for the interior design of Cho’s residence in Jongno district in Seoul to build a new hotel in Incheon between May 2013 and August 2014.
