The nation's benchmark stock price index has made history yet again on Thursday, hitting a new intra-day record of over 24-hundred points.
As of 10:07 a.m., the Korea Composite Stock Price Index or KOSPI rose 18-point-81 points, or point-79 percent to hit two-thousand-401-point-37.
The KOSPI started the day at two-thousand-396-point-81 and just one minute after the opening bell, reached an all-time intra-day high of two-thousand-397-point-14 before exceeding the 24-hundred point threshold.
This milestone comes exactly 50 days after the index topped 23-hundred for the first time during day trading on May tenth. It's also 65 days after the two thousand-200 mark was surpassed on April 26th.
The bullish rally is led by overnight gains on the New York Stock Exchange and net buying of domestic shares by both foreign and institutional investors.
As of 11:16 a.m. KOSPI stood at two-thousand-399-point 13.
