Moon Calls for Road Map on Job Creation Policy by Late August

President Moon Jae-in is urging the presidential committee on job creation to announce a jobs initiative road map by the end of August.

Moon made the request on Wednesday during the first meeting of the newly created committee at the presidential office.

Chairing the committee himself, the president said the meeting will initiate the government’s efforts to draft a blueprint for job creation policy, adding that priority will be put on creating quality jobs and adjusting existing policies to accommodate them.

The committee consists of government representatives, including vice chairman Lee Yong-sup, as well as labor and management officials and civilian experts on labor issues.
