Number of Employed, Jobless Rate Improves in May

South Korea's jobless rate fell and the number of employed people grew by more than 300-thousand for four straight months in May.
 
According to Statistics Korea on Wednesday, the number of people with jobs stood at 26-point-82 million in May, up 375-thousand from a year ago.
 
The number of unemployed persons fell two-thousand on year to one-million-three-thousand.
 
The jobless rate declined a tenth of a percentage point on year to three-point-six percent. The youth unemployment rate decreased zero-point-four percentage points to nine-point-three percent.  
 
However, the real unemployment rate among youths grew zero-point-nine percentage points on year to 22-point-nine percent.
