KOSPI Spikes, Hits New Record High Friday

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) hit an all-time high on Friday, as foreign investors scooped up large-cap stocks. 

The KOSPI spiked by 27-point-11 points, or one-point-16 percent, to close at a record breaking two-thousand-371-point-72. 
 
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose and renewed its yearly high. It gained four-point-95 points, or point-76 percent, to close at 658-point-78.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened point-two won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-121-point-eight won.
