Export Volume Rises for 6th Month

New Bank of Korea data shows South Korea's export volume continued to rise for the sixth straight month.

The tentative index measuring export volume rose four-point-nine percent year-on-year to 142-point-01 in April.

It has gone up every month since November.

On Thursday, Bank of Korea Governor Lee Ju-yeol said the central bank could raise the growth outlook for this year, and mentioned brisk exports as key to economic revival.

Also in April, semiconductor and display-related products led growth in outbound shipments.
