KOSPI Breaks 2,300 Threshold, Reaches Record High

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday broke the two-thousand-300 threshold for the first time ever.

Foreign investors helped the KOSPI to reach it's all time high by puchasing major tech stocks amid sound corporate earnings and overnight gains on Wall Street.

The KOSPI rose 15-point-55 points, or point-68 percent, to close at a record breaking two-thousand-304-point-03.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose point-17 point, or point-03 percent, to close at 642-point-62.

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened eight-point-six won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-118-point-six won.
