South Korean and Japanese business circles have agreed to boost cooperation on jointly advancing into the Middle East and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) among other third countries.
The Federation of Korean Industries(FKI) said the agreement was reached on Monday during a seminar attended by officials from the FKI, the Korea-Japan Economic Association and Japan’s largest economic organization, Keidanren.
During a meeting of South Korean and Japanese businesspeople last year, the business circles of the two countries had agreed to share ways to expand exports markets as a way to tackle a slump in their domestic demand.
In an opening speech, FKI Chairman Huh Chang-soo said now is the time for the financial circles of the two countries to expand the horizons of cooperation in order for Seoul-Tokyo ties to take a leap forward.
