Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho has left for Japan, where he's scheduled to chair a trilateral meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors from South Korea, China and Japan in Yokohama on Friday.

The three sides plan to discuss trends in the global and regional financial markets as well as policy coordination and economic cooperation against trade protectionism. 

Yoo also plans to take part in meetings with finance ministers and central bank chiefs from the the ten-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations alongside South Korea, Japan and China, also known as ASEAN plus three.

He is scheduled to attend the annual assembly of the Asian Development Bank on Saturday.
