Average S. Korean 4G LTE Subscribers Spends Nearly 6 Gigabytes/Month

The average data traffic for 4G LTE service subscribers in South Korea is nearing six gigabytes a month.
 
According to the government's March report on wireless data traffic on Tuesday, those on the fourth-generation(4G) Long-Term Evolution(LTE) networks in South Korea consumed five-point-94 gigabytes of data per person on average in March.
  
The figure is up 13-point-two percent from five-point-25 gigabytes in February.
 
The 4G LTE data consumption surged from one-point-79 gigabytes in late 2012 to four gigabytes in October 2015 and topped five gigabytes in July last year.
 
Videos accounted for 59 percent of mobile data traffic on the nation's 30 large Web sites in March. Social media communications took up 12-point-nine percent of the total.
