Industrial Output Growth Rebounds, Gains 1.2%

The growth rate in South Korea’s industrial output returned to positive territory in March, thanks to budding economic recovery.
 
Statistics Korea said on Friday that the country’s industrial output grew one-point-two percent in March from a month earlier, driven by gains in the mining, manufacturing and construction industries.
 
The industrial output decreased by zero-point-four percent in February, ending a three-month rally.
 
The output in mining and manufacturing rose one percent from February, while the manufacturing inventory edged up zero-point-two percent. 
 
The average rate of operation for the local manufacturing industry increased by one-point-six percentage points to 72-point-six percent.
