ITC Finalizes Antidumping Duties on S. Korean Ferrovanadium

The U.S. International Trade Commission(ITC) has approved antidumping duties on South Korean ferrovanadium.

According to the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency’s office in Washington on Monday, the ITC concluded last Wednesday that U.S. industry is “materially injured” from the importation of South Korean ferrovanadium.

Ferrovanadium is an alloy iron used to make cutting tools.

With the ITC’s decision, the U.S. Department of Commerce can now impose import duties of between three-point-22 and 54-point-69 percent on ferrovanadium exported by South Korean companies.

The department is expected to order the slapping of the duties before Wednesday.
