South Korea’s exports jumped this year on the current global economic recovery.
According to the World Trade Organization on Sunday, 71 major countries’ trade volume came to four-point-84 trillion U.S. dollars in the first two months of the year, up nine percent from the same period last year.
South Korea’s exports reached 83-point-five billion dollars during the period, up 15-point-seven percent on-year and posting the largest growth among the world's ten largest exporters.
China’s exports posted 302-point-eight billion dollars during the cited period, up four percent on-year, while the figure for the world’s second largest exporter, the United States, increased by six-point-nine percent to 237-point-three billion dollars.
Germany came in third, followed by Japan and the Netherlands.
South Korea ranked sixth, moving two notches from last year.
