A survey has found that South Korea's cosmetics exports to Europe expanded ten times in the past seven years.
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency said in a report on Tuesday that South Korean cosmetics exports to Europe increased from nine-point-two million euros in 2009 to 92-point-49 million euros, or around 110 billion won, last year.
During the same period, South Korea's share of the European Union's cosmetics market rose from less than one percent to more than three percent, becoming the region's sixth largest source of cosmetics imports.
South Korean skin care products formulated in multiple skin care types were popular in France while BB or CC creams touting coverage and anti-aging were popular in Germany. In Italy, products made famous by beauty bloggers were sold through global beauty stores or online channels.
Europe's cosmetics market was worth 73-point-six billion euros as of 2015 and about 30 percent of the global cosmetics market.
