S. Korea Posts 2.8% GDP Growth

The South Korean economy was presumed to have grown two-point-eight percent last year.

The Bank of Korea on Tuesday released the revised Gross Domestic Product(GDP) growth for last year, which was zero-point-one percentage point higher than its initial estimate.

The country’s per-capita Gross National Income(GNI) last year was estimated to be 27-thousand-561 dollars, up by one-point-four percent from a year earlier.

It is the eleventh consecutive year South Koreans’ per-capita income remained in the 20-thousand to 30-thousand range after it first surpassed a 20-thousand threshold in 2006.
