Seoul is World's 6th Most Expensive City

A survey by a British economic analysis firm finds Seoul is the sixth most expensive city in the world.

The Economist Intelligence Unit(EIU), the research and analysis division of the Economist Group, unveiled the ranking in its Worldwide Cost of Living 2017 report released on Tuesday. The survey compared the prices of 160 goods and services in 133 cities around the world.

Compared to 1999, Seoul saw its ranking climb as many as 44 notches.

Singapore topped the list, ranking as the number one city with the highest cost of living for the fourth consecutive year. Hong Kong came in second followed by Switzerland’s Zurich.
