A new survey finds that single men and women believe that it is most appropriate to give between 50-thousand and 70-thousand won as a congratulatory cash gift for weddings.
According to the survey carried out by Duo, a matchmaking agency, on 438 unmarried people in their 20s and 30s, 58 percent of respondents said congratulatory money between 50-thousand and 70-thousand won is most reasonable. Around 25 percent cited between 30- and 50-thousand won while six percent said between 70- and 100-thousand won.

The survey also found that 63 percent of respondents feel burdened when they receive a wedding invitation. Seventy-four percent said they don’t attend the wedding even if they are invited while 78 percent said they decide whether to attend depending on how close they are to the bride or groom.
