Nonstop Bullet Train to Start Service in August

A nonstop bullet train will connect major railway lines including Seoul to Busan and Seoul to Gwangju from August.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced this plan after a meeting on the allocation of railway tracks.

With the bullet train, the travel time between Seoul and Busan will be less than two hours, and Seoul and Gwangju less than an hour and a half.

Another train service will be launched on the Seoul-Busan line with just one stop at either Daejeon or Dongdaegu, greatly reducing travel time between the two cities.
