A survey finds South Korean college graduates hired by large firms this year will receive an average annual salary of 38-point-five million won.
Those hired by small firms will take home about 25-point-two million won on average, while those working for foreign firms and public companies can expect around 34-point-six million won.
Online job portal JobKorea released on Monday the results of its survey on 522 companies, including 207 large firms and 290 small and medium-sized firms.
The figure for large firms decreased by one percent compared to last year, while those for public firms and foreign companies increased five-point-two percent and five-point-seven percent, respectively. The figure for small firms also increased two-point-eight percent.
Accordingly, the gap between large firms and public and foreign firms decreased from six million won last year to four million won this year.
