DMZ Loudspeakers to Inform N. Koreans of Half Brother's Death

Seoul plans to broadcast on loudspeakers along the border with the North, that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's half brother Kim Jong-nam was killed in Malaysia, Monday.

South Korean and military sources revealed the plan on Wednesday following the confirmation that he was murdered at Kuala Lumpar International Airport.

While the North Korea regime is suspected to be behind the assassination, a government source said there is a need to inform the North Korean people of Kim Jong-un's merciless character, who ordered the execution of his uncle Jang Song-thaek and allegedly the murder of his half brother.

The authorities believe North Koreans will be shocked by the news as it is well known in the North that Kim Jong-nam is the former North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's eldest son.

In January of 2016, the South Korean military reactivated the operation of the loudspeakers along the border, following North Korea's fourth nuclear test.
