China Slaps 13 Tough Trade Measures on Imports from S. Korea in Second Half of 2016

China imposed 13 tough trade measures against its imports from South Korea in the second half of last year when conflicts over the United States THAAD antimissile system emerged between the two nations.

According to industry sources and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency on Sunday, Beijing slapped 12 antidumping duties and one safeguard measure against imports from South Korea in the second half of last year.

Eight chemical products, two textile items and one steel product were affected.

A source in Beijing said that China may strengthen its regulations on imports from South Korea, especially steel, chemical and battery products this year.
