Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho says for the moment at least, it's unlikely the U.S will designate South Korea as a currency manipulator.

He also told lawmakers Thursday there's no word from Washington on a possible renegotiation of the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement. The minister did say that could change in the future.

Yoo said a phone call will be scheduled with incoming U.S. Treasury Secretary nominee Steven Mnuchin once he is confirmed, and the two will see each other during G-20 talks in Germany next month.
