Drone Show Korea 2017 Opens in Busan

Asia's biggest drone exhibition opened on Thursday at the BEXCO Exhibition Hall in Busan for a three-day run.

Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Busan city government, "Drone Show Korea 2017" features about 300 booths by 88 companies.

Around 200 drones have been put on display, ranging from military drones to leisure products.

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute, Korean Air, Uconsystem and Hanwha Techwin, which are leading the nation’s drone research and development, unveiled the latest drones for military and consumer use.

Public institutions, including the National Police Agency, the Ministry of Public Safety and Security and the Aviation Safety Technology Center will also take part in the event to seek ways to apply drone technologies to their services.
