South Korea is planning to expand investment in the latest information technologies shaping society, including artificial intelligence, the Internet of things(IoT), virtual reality and autonomous driving.

Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning Choi Yang-hee said Monday the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas early this month showed just how fast information society tech innovation is accelerating.

He said the ministry will do everything possible to shape policies that help South Korea deal with the coming changes that will lead the fourth Industrial Revolution.
