The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday ended flat to close at two-thousand-26 on the first trading day of the new year.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ inched up a tenth of a percent to 632.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency was also nearly unchanged against the U.S. dollar from last Thursday, closing at one-thousand-208.
