Written: 2016-12-28 18:26:44Updated: 2016-12-29 07:20:29

The government will evaluate the results and progress of all state-funded projects every year.

The Finance Ministry said on Wednesday that it will make the evaluations along with the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and the Presidential Committee on Regional Development starting January next year.

More than 14-hundred programs worth 193 trillion won sought by 48 ministries and state agencies are subject to the annual report.

The government has so far conducted assessments every three years, with about one third of projects subject to evaluation annually.

However, it evaluated half of the programs this year and decided to look into all the projects annually from next year to prevent any financial leakage.
