The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday tumbled eight-tenths of a percent to two-thousand-24 despite gains overnight on Wall Street.
 
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ added one-point-four percent to 627.

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the South Korean won weakened three won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-210.
