Finance Minister Hints at Lowering Growth Forecast for Next Year

South Korea plans to lower its economic growth forecast for next year.

Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho told lawmakers it will be difficult to maintain the three-percent growth projection the government made when it submitted the 2017 budget plan.

Some market watchers are forecasting economic growth may not even reach two percent next year.

Yoo said employment issues are the biggest concern, and added the government plans to release an updated projection next week.
