PPI Posts Highest Figure in 14 Months in Nov.

South Korea’s producer prices rose for the fourth straight month in November, posting the highest figure in 14 months.

According to preliminary data released on Tuesday by the Bank of Korea, the producer price index(PPI) stood at 99-point-90 last month, up four-tenths of a percent from October.

The growth in the index came amid a surge in prices of city gas, eggs, beer and instant ramyeon noodles.

Producer prices are a leading indicator of inflation as they are reflected in consumer prices over time.
