S. Korean Military to Replace Computer Vaccine System

South Korea’s Defense Ministry says it plan to replace its computer vaccine system by June next year following a hacking incident blamed on North Korea.

In a report submitted Monday to lawmakers, the ministry said the hacking was possible because the ministry’s computer network was connected to the Internet at a unit.

The ministry says it has severed the connection and blocked the vaccine routing server.

It has also checked all other units in the military but found no similar signs of being hacked.
