N. Korean TV Blurs Image of S. Korean Skyscrapers during Reports on Protests

North Korean media has been blurring out South Korean skyscrapers in some of its coverage of antigovernment protests in the South.

The North's Korean Central Television aired a talk show Wednesday called "Park Geun-hye should stop her deceiving public addresses and step down immediately."

That program and other broadcasts have used mainly close-ups of protesters, but blurred buildings in wider shots.

North Korea experts say Pyongyang wants its people to see the confusion and anger surrounding South Korea's political crisis, but does not want its people to see how advanced and well developed the urban landscape is in Seoul.
