S. Korea to Reduce 220Mln Tons of Greenhouse Gas by 2030

South Korea's government has approved a plan to reduce greenhouse gas output by more than 200 million tons by 2030.

The plan affects eight different economic sectors.

Out of those, the power generation sector will see the biggest reduction of more than 19-percent, or 64-point-five million fewer tons of greenhouse gas output.

The steel, petrochemical and 20 other industries will also join greenhouse gas reduction efforts by boosting energy efficiency, developing eco-friendly gas products, introducing innovative energy technologies and recycling used resources.
