Key economic officials in the South Korean government say more volatility is likely on global financial markets.

Participants in a joint meeting of the Finance Ministry and other state agencies agreed Monday Italy's referendum rejecting constitutional reform and upcoming central bank meetings in Europe and the United States are fueling a mood of uncertainty.

The government plans to enhance monitoring of the local and global financial market, foreign exchange and the real economy, while responding to excessive fluctuations.
