The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Thursday dropped 16-point-69 points, or zero-point-84 percent, to close at one-thousand-971-point-26.
 
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell seven-point-64 points, or one-point-27 percent, to 592-point-65.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened three-point-nine won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-180-point-one won.
