The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday slumped eight-point-53 points, or zero-point-43 percent, to close at one-thousand-966-point-05 as individuals and institutions went on a selling spree. 

The tech-laden KOSDAQ sank ten-point-93 points, or one-point-76 percent, to 609-point-33.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the local currency depreciated three-point-four won against the greenback to one-thousand-186-point-six won.
