S. Korean Army Conducts Live Fire Exercise to Counter N. Korean Aircraft

The South Korean military has conducted a live fire exercise to enhance its capability to counter North Korean aircraft such as the AN-2 low-altitude infiltration plane.

The Army said soldiers from three mechanized infantry divisions, the 1st Air Defense Artillery Brigade and the Missile Command on Wednesday participated in the exercise at a shooting range in Anheung on the west coast to effectively counter growing threats of North Korean aircraft.

The units practiced firing the Biho twin 30 millimeter self-propelled antiaircraft weapons integrated with the indigenously developed Singung guided missile.
