After experiencing dramatic swings throughout the week in positive and negative territory, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Friday slumped 18-point-17 points, or zero-point-91 percent, to close at one-thousand-984-point-43.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell one-point-34 points, or zero-point-22 percent, to 621-point-89.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the local currency depreciated 14-point-two won against the greenback to one-thousand-164-point-eight won.
