KOSPI, KOSDAQ Recover Losses on Thursday

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) regained its footing on Thursday, a day after it plunged more than two percent as Republican Donald Trump inched closer and closer to entering the Oval Office.

The KOSPI spiked 44-point-22 points, or two-point-26 percent, to close at two-thousand-two-point-six, recovering all of its losses on Wednesday from the Trump shock. The surge followed cues overnight on Wall Street.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also recuperated  its losses, jumping 23-point-49 points, or three-point-92 percent, to 623-point-23.

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency depreciated one-point-one won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-150-point-six won.
