N. Korean Leader Resumes Military Inspection in 2 Months

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has been seen inspecting military units for the first time in two months.

The North's state-run Korean Central News Agency reported Friday, Kim toured a special operations battalion of the North's Korean People's Army.

The last time Kim was seen inspecting troops he was observing a ballistic missile launch drill by a strategic forces artillery unit in early September.

Also seen accompanying Kim in this latest inspection was Army Colonel General Ri Yong-gil.

He had been rumored to have been executed but later appeared as an alternate member of the North's Politburo in May.

He has since been reinstated as director of the North Korean military's general operations bureau.
