After taking a brutal fall the day before, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Thursday managed to rise four-point-86 points, or zero-point-25 percent, to close at one-thousand-983-point-eight.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ advanced three-point-93 points, or zero-point-65 percent, to 609-point-99.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated ten-point-two won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-139-point-six won.
