S. Korean Military on Alert for Possible N. Korean Missile Launch

The South Korean military is on alert amid signs that North Korea is preparing to launch a Musudan intermediate-range ballistic missile.

A government source said activity of a Musudan missile-carrying transporter erector launcher(TEL) has recently been detected in the North and that the military is on high alert to counter any provocations.

Quoting two U.S. officials, Fox Business News reported on Tuesday, the North is getting ready to launch another Musudan ballistic missile in 24 to 72 hours.

North Korea has launched Musudan missiles eight times since April 15th, all of which ended in failure except the test on June 22nd.

With a range of three thousand kilometers, the ballistic missile is known to be capable of reaching a U.S. base in Guam.
