After tumbling below the two-thousand threshold in the morning, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Tuesday regained some of the losses and closed at two-thousand-seven-point-39, down zero-point-eight point, or zero-point-04 percent, from the day before.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ edged up one-point-seven points, or zero-point-27 percent, to 626-point-38.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened four-point-six won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-139-point-nine won.
