The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) recovered to the two-thousand-20 level on Thursday, a day after it tumbled more than one percent.

The main index rose ten-point-23 points, or zero-point-51 percent, to close at two-thousand-24-point-12.

The secondary KOSDAQ shot up 13-point-06 points, or two-point-06 percent, to 648-point-57.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the local currency depreciated eight-point-five won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-142-point-five won.
