Defectors Group Flies Leaflets Toward N. Korea Blasting Missile Launch

A Seoul-based civic group comprising North Korean defectors flew anti-Pyongyang leaflets across the border toward the North Friday morning.

The leaflets denouncing North Korea's nuclear tests and missile launches were flown from near the Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Park in Paju, Gyeonggi Province by members of "Fighters for a Free North Korea."

The members floated ten huge balloons carrying 300-thousand leaflets, two-thousand one dollar U.S. bills, and one-thousand DVDs with contents on South Korea's economic advancement.

Founder and president of Fighters for a Free North Korea Park Sang-hak said the leaflet campaign is to urge Pyongyang to stop its nuclear and missile provocations. He said that despite strong condemnation by the UN and the international community, the regime launched missiles twice already this month.
