S. Korea Developing Superhigh-speed Train

South Korea is developing a super high-speed train with a maximum velocity of one-thousand kilometers per hour.

The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning said Tuesday the planned subsonic tube train is a long-term project that will use magnetic levitation in vacuum tunnels.

The planned ultrahigh-speed line will be able to take passengers from Seoul to Busan in 30 minutes.

Compare that to the current two and a half hours the trip usually takes aboard South Korea's bullet train, the KTX.
