'N. Korean Teenage Defector Arrives in S. Korea'

A North Korean teenage math genius, who is known to have sought asylum at the South Korean consulate in Hong Kong in mid-July, has reportedly left Hong Kong.

The South China Morning Post, a Hong Kong-based newspaper, quoted the FactWire news agency on Wednesday as saying that the young defector left Hong Kong over the weekend and safely arrived in South Korea.

The defector was part of the North's delegation to the annual International Mathematical Olympiad.
