The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) regained its footing on Tuesday, rising 15-point-71 points, or zero-point-77 percent, to close at two-thousand-62-point-82 on the back of institutional buying.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ advanced one-point-23 points, or zero-point-18 percent, to 687-point-99.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated eleven-point-four won against the greenback to one-thousand-96-point-five won.
