Allianz Survey Ranks S. Korea 21st in Terms of Per Capita Net Financial Asset

A survey has shown that South Koreans possess approximately 27-thousand euros' worth of financial assets.

According to the Allianz Group’s Allianz Global Wealth Report, South Korea's financial assets per capita last year came to an average 27-thousand-371 euros, or some 30-thousand U.S. dollars.

It places South Korea 21st out of 53 countries surveyed. Last year, South Korea was ranked 22nd. 

South Korea’s per capita net financial assets increased by around three-thousand euros from the previous survey by the German insurer conducted last year, when each South Korean was shown to hold an average of 24-thousand-160 euros in 2014.

Switzerland topped the list of gross financial assets of private households at 170-thousand-589 euros, followed by the U.S. at 160-thousand-949 euros, Britain at 95-thousand-600 euros, Sweden at 89-thousand-942 euros and Belgium at 85-thousand-27 euros.

Japan outranked other Asian countries at 83-thousand-888 euros, which positioned it as No. 6 among the surveyed countries.
